Euotopia is a retro 2D online RPG with its roots in MUDs and roguelikes. EUO is all about party based dungeon grinding and also features pets, crafting, housing, quests, optional permanent death server, and more.

Great game. I've been playing for over 10 years and enjoyed it immensely. There are several options to play including LOTL (living off the land) and pvp. Several servers: regular, player death!, no grind, and a weekly ladder server competition where you can win a prize if you're top dog.
New content includes euotopian apocalypse. There are several classes: fighter, rogue, Mage, priest, monk.
There's a wiki-like manual and extensive forum. For those that like to construct, there is a map making utility and lua scripting support.
Game supports 16x16 and 32x32 pixel sprites.
For those who like to customize your alts there is a cash shoppe. Prizes won from weekly can be spent here.
Give the game a try. I've even played it utilizing game pad support via joytokey with additional keyboard support. Which reminds me, you can customize all keys.
Tell all your friends and family and coworkers. The community would like to see you in this ultima-esque real time combat game.
Further notes: many skills and brewing, taming, and farming.

A great game that I've been playing for about 5-6 years now.
If you like retro-looking games and alot of freedom that also is free to play, this is the game for you. :)
There are ofcourse an option to support the creator by bying different cosmetic stuff, but Euotopia will never be a pay-to-win game which is awesome.

EUOtopia is the pinnacle of retro gaming at its best. It's the world that early Ultima players always dreamed about.

this is the game that i've always compared retro games to! it's been out for 10+ years but still gets frequent updates. best of all, there's a friendly and helpful playerbase to get over the learning curve.

Great game. I've been playing for almost 10 years I think. I'm not even sure when I started. Up to now it's one of my favorite games.
