Set in the dark gritty future 85 years from now, Sindome takes place in a city within a geodesic dome, Withmore City. Characters fight for survival, carving out a niche in the underworld for themselves. Heavy emphasis on roleplaying. New player friendly.

I'm currently an active player and I couldn't be more pleased with this game. It's very rewarding once you get the right mindset for playing it. If you're looking for a hack'n'slash where stats are revered above all, Sindome is not the game for you. The community is all about role-playing. The game takes place in a dystopian cyberpunk future so you could be anything from a gangster decked out in the latest cyberware, to a deranged street ripper doc, to the very law that the majority of the population has come to hate for their militant control over the citizens of Withmore City. So feel free to stop in and join in on the fun!

My one critique of Sindome is that, while definitely very accepting of newcomers, there isn't much of a system in place to help with immersion. There's a lot of trial-and-error involved at the beginning, and I would admittedly like to see a little more effort to steer newcomers towards each other, or into some starter plots. However, that being said, since I warmed up to the game and started to understand how it's meant to be played, I've been having a blast.

As a decade vet of the MUD/MOO world, I have to say I've been very impressed so far in my first few months of playing Sindome. The world is well crafted, the characters and game-interaction are spot on, and the general theme and vibe of the game lead to tons of fun roleplaying and combat opportunities.
The ability to carve out a piece of the in-game economy for your character is backed up by the unique skill system and the heavy RP engagement of the community.
Tons of cool and inventive features, great staff, definitely suggest it for players of all experience levels!

There is a lot of depth and fun to be had here. The community is incredible and the RP is really good. One of the best RP communities I have found in any format.

It's a really good game with a very dedicated player base and staff. Immersive world with a lot to do. Some very unique systems and locations to make things interesting. It is a long haul game and you are encouraged to RP more than advance your character which can rub some people the wrong way. The other issue some people have is that many of the systems are obfuscated and you are encouraged to find out how they work in game through RP. That is a mixed bag of fun and frustration.
Regardless of its minor flaws, it's a great place to RP and a brilliant game run by very dedicated people. I've been playing for several months now and have had fun all along the way.
